What is KEDC Thrive?

  • KEDC THRIVE is a grant awarded through AWARE funding from the federal government to address school safety and mental health in schools. 
  • Three Kentucky school districts will be included: Bell County, Floyd County, and Johnson County.
  • District selection comes from several criteria but all 3 districts: have been hit with natural disasters, are experiencing economic depression, job loss, limited mental and physical health resources, and have students reporting negative mental health.
